The roadbed slope adopts protective measures such as sash beam protection, spray planting grass, hexagonal hollow brick planting and planting trees to minimize the impact of railway construction on ecological vegetation.

After the opening of Lixiang Railway, it will closely connect the tourist hotspots along the route, and will also promote the construction of tourism routes from Kunming to Chuxiong, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La, which will play an important role in promoting the development of tourism economy in northwestern Yunnan.
