Hutchison Ports add more rail capacity from Barcel

Last October Synergy launched its first container train from Barcelona covering the areas of Burgos, La Rioja, Vizcaya, Vitoria and Santander, all important industrialized zones with large import and export volumes to and from Asia and the Middle East.

This has led to a transit time reduction of between seven and 20 days - depending on destination - for exporters and up to 14 days for importers. The train is capable of handling all types of goods from steel to food.

In addition to railway services, Synergy offers storage, emptying and filling of containers and transport services from Miranda de Ebro.

Hutchison Ports also operates six rail services a week from Barcelona to the Noain Intermodal Terminal in Pamplona.
