Qantas flight attendants will no longer help passe

Cabin crew have won assurances from Qantas that will not have to help passengers with luggage following concerns that injuries could result from the increased weight limit.  

Previously domestic passengers were allowed two pieces of hand luggage weighing  7kg each. 

But after a survey carried out by the airline showed that passengers didn't think 7kg was enough space, Qantas amended their limit to 10kg.

The new rule, which will come into effect on Monday, will limit passengers to one bag up to 10kg and another weighing no more than 4kg.  

Passengers will be told that if they are unable to find room for their luggage on board, they will need to put their bags at the front of the plane so it can be placed in the cargo hold.
